Build a rubric, then mark with it
Start from a template, describe four levels for each criterion, and check the marks add up. Then mark each student on screen with one click per criterion, and download the rubric or a marked sheet as a PDF.
Rubric details
These appear at the top of the PDF.
Criteria
Three to five criteria work best. Describe what you would actually see at each level, e.g. “all calculations shown with units”, not “good effort”.
Mark a student
Click the level that best matches the work for each criterion. The score adds up as you go.

Tips for a fair rubric
Three habits that make marking quicker and easier to explain.
Make it observable
Write what you would see or measure: “resistor value calculated and matches the build”. Two teachers should pick the same level.
Share it early
Give students the rubric when you set the task. Use it for self- and peer-assessment before the final mark.
Weight what matters
Put the most marks on the skill the task is really about. Use Scale to total to keep the numbers tidy.
